Eltham Skies Observatory

By Con Ioannou

Hello and welcome to the home of Eltham Skies Observatory in Melbourne, Australia.

This site is a way of displaying some of the astronomy pictures I have taken from my home observatory using my own equipment. With each image I also provide a small description of the object and the details of the image capture.

I currently have only a few pictures in this site under Solar System Object and Nebula (Nebula is my favourite) and I have finally added some Galaxy pictures. I will be adding more as I take them, but the way the weather has been of late who knows when that will be.

I have also included some shots from my previous telescope. Look in the Old Telescope for the Nebula pictures using my first telescope. All of the Solar System Objects were taken with the old telescope too.

If you like you can subscribe to the RSS feeds in the ALL Recent Update section, so as soon as I add something new you will be notified automatically.

Please enjoy!

    • With some more assistance I have turned a couple of images of the Lagoon Nebula into a video and added some music. The two pictures are at F6.3 and at F10. Unfortunately I havent had a chance to add more data to these pictures because the weather has been so bad over the last 6 weeks. Not single fully clear night in almost 6 weeks!
